Chris in sales sold me on "we are a trustworthy family owned business." Family owned? Maybe. Trustworthy? Definitely NOT.

The driver lied about the dimensions of the truck in an attempt to charge me for more square footage. Had to measure in front of him. Acted like he had been through this before.

Perfect chair damaged/torn during move. The lowest appraisal I got was $200. After many unreturned calls and a painful insurance claim process I was offered $64 for my troubles. When I rejected them, I heard a month later they changed insurers and I needed to re-file my claim. More unreturned calls.

Just another scumbag company. FIND ANOTHER MOVER!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6000

Absolutely do not consider this outfit for moving. After paying $700 over the estimate, my stuff arrived in TX after 21 days. I was quoted 6 - 10 days. My 50 inch TV screen was destroyed along with 2 end tables and a lamp were broken. My vacuum and a whole closet full of suits and a couple of paintings were missing. I will give them 1 star for arriving for pick up on time. If you think Moving Pro is bad wait until you file a claim with their insurer CSI Pros, they are 10x worse, filed a claim 3 months ago, have not seen a nickel and they make the claim filing process a nightmare to try and discourage you from even filing it.

I needed a moving company to move me from PA to FL when I put my information to receive an quote. I got literally 50 phone calls it was absolutely overwhelming!! Moving Pro was one of the companies that I spoke to. I wasn't looking for the cheapest price I wanted great service and I learned my lesson from a previous move. After a nice conversation with the rep, my mind was at ease. They did an excellent job explaining how to prep for the move and they were there from start to finish. They sent the best crew for my move and they were so professional, and they made what I thought was going to be a very stressful experience a pleasant one. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great moving company. Best of all my stuff arrived so quickly. Top notch!

Service cost: $2350

I originally went with this company because of my initial contact with Cheryl who was personal and professional and very helpful. Everything went smooth at pickup, I had more stuff than estimated..oh well. I go home to California and I tried calling the number on the paperwork-no response. I left 3 messages and hung up twice without leaving messages out of frustration because I never received a callback. I then emailed Cheryl who said she would have someone call me it took 2 days and when they did it was Supervisor Mike who was argumentative, rude and obnoxious to me basically blaming me for the company's phone problems. I asked for a discount for the trouble and he told me to prove I tried calling. I requested to speak to someone above him and he continued to speak louder and above me until I said I no longer wanted to talk to him and wanted to speak to someone above him on Monday 7/17/17 morning. Now arranging delivery to the storage facility, I asked if the 4-5 pieces of furniture could be delivered to my home and the rest to the storage facility. Initially, I was told if it were under 6 miles it was free when I gave them the address of the storage facility and confirmed delivery requesting again the furniture delivery to the house that is 4.26 miles from the storage facility Supervisor Mike said the charge is $75.00! Folks stay away from this man!! $75.00 for 4.26 miles are you kidding me?? Mike, you are not a good businessman nor do you take care of your customers-SHAME ON YOU AND I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW NOT TO USE YOUR SERVICE!!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $411915

This review is lengthy, but please read it, especially if you’re not a New Jersey resident making a long distance move. I have moved across the state line 5 times using North American Van Lines, this review is about the mistake I made by not contracting North American Van Lines for my April 20 Pennsylvania to Florida move. Thinking back, I made my first mistake by logging onto Home Advisor to find a moving company. My second mistake was when I hired Moving Pro, in Passaic, NJ without contacting North American Van Lines to get their estimate first.
The First issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry, was of course the charges. My binding costs went from $2300-$3600, Because Moving Pro in Passaic, NJ does not do home estimates-they tried to estimate your household size by square feet using the telephone!
The Second issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry, was the delivery time. My pick up day was April 20 in the Philadelphia suburbs, my delivery date was May 3 to the Orlando suburbs. The agent from Moving Pro stated the move and could contractually take 14 business days, but he stated “they usually deliver in 3 to 5 days.” Accepting this information was my third mistake, you count the days-it’s 13 and that’s a long time to wait, renting a hotel room!
The Third issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry is the middleman, although I don’t know who that was. The contents of my house were picked up by three courteous and professional moving men. The contents of my home where delivered by two men and one woman, also very courteous and professional. But the middleman are the people that transferred my goods from the box truck that picked up, to the semi trailer that delivered. As I said in the beginning of this review, I have had five moves across the state line with North American Van Lines-NEVER have I had as many damages as I have Experienced with Moving Pro in Passaic, NJ!! Yes, I will be filing damages.

Where do I begin? First, the mover had me basically sign my rights to recovering any damages away but not correctly explaining the liability portion, something I'm sure he was well trained on. Second, they lose some of my household goods and refused to consider reimbursing me because I didn't unpack my boxes and inspect them while the movers were there. Really?! How am I supposed to do that when they stacked the boxes in my garage and I'm the only one available to unpack them. And it's not like I didn't start right away, but when you're alone, it still takes weeks to get through everything. My furniture was brand new when it went into storage and when it arrived at my new home, every. single. piece. was damaged. The quilts the movers used to wrap the furniture was worn all the through to the wood, leaving it scraped, dinged and beyond repair.
As a vet and an AF brat, I've made several moves throughout my lifetime, and this was by far the worst!
